I hear a lot of Christians say that they are trying to keep the faith, but it’s hard when life is throwing every stone their way. So I want to talk to you about what Paul said in reference to living the life of a Christian.
2 Corinthians 4:8-12 Amplified Bible (AMP)
8 We are hedged in (pressed) on every side [troubled and oppressed in every way], but not cramped or crushed; we suffer embarrassments and are perplexed and unable to find a way out, but not driven to despair;
9 We are pursued (persecuted and hard driven), but not deserted [to stand alone]; we are struck down to the ground, but never struck out and destroyed;10 Always carrying about in the body the liability and exposure to the same putting to death that the Lord Jesus suffered, so that the [[a]resurrection] life of Jesus also may be shown forth by and in our bodies.11 For we who live are constantly [experiencing] being handed over to death for Jesus’ sake, that the [[b]resurrection] life of Jesus also may be evidenced through our flesh which is liable to death.
12 Thus death is actively at work in us, but [it is in order that [c]our] life [may be actively at work] in you.
I just may make you guys mad here when I say this… We live in one of the most blessed countries in the world, and I feel our persecution is different from someone else’s persecution that live in countries where Freedom Of Religion is not a thought…it means imminent death. I believe for us, at times, it is the little things that kill.”12 Thus death is actively at work in us, but [it is in order that [c]our] life [may be actively at work] in you.”
Life is never easy. There may be aspects of life that are easy. I do know having a profound faith makes living life worth it! Even in suffering there is a fulfillment, and a promise that God is going to take away everything that ails us, lies to us, corrupts us, takes away from us, and so forth. If you could just hold on this is what Jesus had to say…
Matthew 5:3 Amplified Bible (AMP)
“3 Blessed (happy, [a]to be envied, and [b]spiritually prosperous—[c]with life-joy and satisfaction in God’s favor and salvation, regardless of their outward conditions) are the poor in spirit (the humble, who rate themselves insignificant), for theirs is the kingdom of heaven!”
Oh snap! So just hold on. When you feel you are at the bottom of your rope hold on and pray harder. Laugh louder. Love stronger. And if you get tired and weary you rest! Because you are blessed! Good night guys!
